Richard J. Hreha of Vernon, NJ a retired History Teacher for the West Milford School District, West Milford, NJ, entered into rest on November 6, 2017. He was 85.

The son of the late John & Julia Klempa Hreha, he was born November 6, 1932 in Elizabeth, NJ.

He was a US Navy Korean Veteran. He was a member of the Vernon VFW Post 8441, Vernon, NJ and the P.L.A.V. Post 16, Pine Island, NY. He was also a Past President of both the Vernon Rotary and the Vernon Historical Society.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Helen Krok Klempa; son, Michael Hreha and step sister, Patricia Daly.

As per his wishes there will be no services and cremation will be held privately.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
